Petsitting Service for Your Best Friend in the Comfort of Their Own Home

I believe as a pet owner and as a veterinary technician, that animals are most comfortable in their own home, especially when their owner is away.  In their home they are surrounded by familiar smells, objects, and memories, all of which help to remove anxiety vs. being in a boarding facility/ kennel.

 I offer a variety of petsitting services:

• Daytime visits- during this time I often let the dogs out to relieve themselves, take them for a walk, clean cat litter boxes, or groom a cat or dog.  Sometimes, just letting the animal know that someone is around and taking care of them is the goal of a daytime visit.  Also during this type of visit, I may also be feeding them breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Pet Nursing Care:  I'll Work With Your Vet to Help You Care for Your Pets!

With experience and testimonies of my own and from my petsitting clients, I believe that pets have much higher anxiety level while at the veterinarian's office.   As a veterinary technician, I feel it is better for our pets if we can handle as much as we can at home, especially when it comes to the following services that I am able to provide you with at home:

• Toe nail trims
• Ear cleaning
• Diabetic Care: insulin shots. glucose curves
• Kidney/renal patient care: Fluid therapy
• Post Operative Care: Bandage Changes
• Tracheostomy care

All visits include feeding, playing, cleaning, exercising, and TLC for your pet. As long as your pet is “up to having company,” my visit fee includes about 30 minutes of the activities below and services of your choice. If your pet is “not up to having company,” my visit will last as long as required to perform whichever of the services below that you request. Litter box cleaning is included during the visit time, and includes stool produced during walks. Walks are also included with my visit time as long as time is allotted and available.

Please make time to schedule an initial consult at least a week in advance.  This not only gives us both time to meet one another, but also provides time for your pets and I to meet.  It is crucial and required that I meet them prior to caring for them during your vacation.

Visits

Pet lover price per visit                             $15 (within 0-15 mile range. See below)

Additional 30 minutes                              $10

Mileage: Homes outside of 0-15 mile range from Holt will be subject to additional fees starting at $0.50 per mile. (You may check your mileage starting at the intersection of Holt and Aurelius Rd. in Holt, MI 48842)

Multiple Pet Homes

• Multiple dog homes:$2.00 per additional dog/day if more than 3 dogs
• Cats: No additional charge per cat. The cleaning of three litter boxes is included in the visit price to clean. If more than three boxes, each additional box $2 each per cleaning.

Holidays

$5.00 additional charge per holiday per day as listed: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day (observed), Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. 

Emergency Calls (Last Minute Pet Care Requests)

$5.00 additional charge per visit if less than 48 hours of notice is given

Critter Cab

Grooming Appointments

$0.50 per mile + $10 for pick up and drop off.  Mileage starts when pet is picked up and dropped off at your home, in addition to regular visit fee.

Vet Visits and Emergency Vet Transport Fee

$25 fee with possibly additional fees depending on amount of time at the veterinary clinic, etc.

Nursing Care Services

The service fees below are in addition to the cost per visit, and the list of services is non-exhaustive. Please ask if you need something specific done for your pet.

 

Subcutaneous Fluids                     $10

Insulin Shots                                   $5.00 each (I will wait for your pet to eat prior to administering shot)

Nail Trims                                        $15

Tracheostomy Care                        $5 per service

Return Key Fee                              $10

I prefer to keep keys on file. I label the key with a ring that ONLY says your pets’ names.  Your key is only on my key ring if I am actively pet sitting for you at the time.
